Life histories of immigrants, written in their own words and language. The life stories were sent to a writing competition open to all immigrants. Some participants were refugees, some had moved to Finland to get married, others to study or to work etc. The stories focused on why the participant had moved to Finland, and what was life like in the home country and in Finland. The number of participants was 73. The stories, written in 17 different languages, were translated into Finnish by professional translators.
