Agreement on the deposition of data to the Finnish Social Science Data Archive Version 2013-04-01/A FILLED BY THE ARCHIVE Archival number of the data ______________ TO BE FILLED BY THE DEPOSITOR Data title ___________________________________________________________ With  this  agreement, I/we submit the above-mentioned dataset with its supplementary  documents  to  be archived at the Finnish Social Science Data  Archive (henceforth "the archive"), subject to conditions set out below. Conditions set out for archiving and dissemination of the data: -  The  contact  information  of the depositor will be entered into the archive’s client database. -  The  original  creators  of data retain the ownership, copyright and associated intellectual property rights in all deposited material. -  The  depositor has the right to receive statistics on the use of the data. -  The archive preserves the data and maintains its long-term usability in   accordance  with  the  archive’s  records  management  and archives formation plan. -  The  archive  has  the  right  to  process  the  data  according  to established data protection, data security and long-term preservation practices.  If needed,  the archive and the depositor will make a separate agreement on the anonymisation of the data. -  The  archive  has  the  right to publish descriptions of the data in Finnish and international data portals and catalogues. - The archive can distribute the data to users under the conditions set out below. I. Distribution of the data for reuse Please choose one option only (A-D). Instructions:  The  primary  reason  for requesting permission for data reuse (condition D) is that the original research project has not ended yet.  A permission can also be requested when the data contain personal identifiers.  In  this  case,  the  original researcher will remain the controller of the register for his/her data and will review each access application personally. The dataset is openly accessible ___  A) for all users. Option suitable for data the use of which is not restricted  by the legislation relating to personal data, copyright and openness of government activities. The  dataset  can  be distributed only to Registered Users who agree to comply with the terms and conditions set out for the use of the data ___ B) for research, teaching and study. ___ C) for research only. Research is taken to include Master’s, licentiate and doctoral theses. ___ D) with the permission from the depositor only. Please fill in the following information. Specifications to the deposit agreement Data reuse and annual report Instructions:  In most cases, data can be distributed for reuse as soon as  the  archiving  procedures  have  been  finalised.  If the data are archived  before  the original research project has ended, you can give the  end date of the research project as the date when the data will be released  for  reuse.  The  annual  report  includes  statistics on the purposes  of  data  reuse and a list of new publications where the data have been used.
