FSD Upgrade

This four-year project is funded by the Academy of Finland. The main aim is to enable the FSD to meet the criteria for full membership in the future CESSDA ERIC and to strengthen and enlarge the services of the archive. Work is divided into five sections:
» Major upgrade of data portal and data access
» Extending the scope of the archive beyond social sciences, to health, educational, psychological, cultural and historical research
» Enhancing and enabling management and re-use of complex data
» Research on costs, preservation and sharing of digital data
» Enhancing data management training

VERIC – Meeting CESSDA ERIC Requirements

Following a Research Infrastructures call (FIRI 2012), the Academy of Finland awarded the FSD funding for this project that aims to build metadata capture, storage and repurposing tools which will support CESSDA ERIC membership and the FSD's general service provision. Another aim is to cooperate with Statistics Finland to enhance metadata interoperability.

Data without Boundaries - DwB

The Data without Boundaries (DwB) project exists to support equal and easy access to official microdata for the European Research Area, within a structured framework where responsibilities and liability are equally shared. This four-year-project is funded under the EU's Seventh Framework Programme.

DASISH – Data Service Infrastructure for the Social Sciences and Humanities

This three-year-project is funded under the EU's Seventh Framework Programme. The goal is to determine areas of cross-fertilization and synergy in the development of the following five ESFRI research infrastructure initiative: CESSDA, CLARIN, DARIAH, ESS and SHARE.
