Expert tour guide on data management released in December
CESSDA’s open online resource for data management was released in December 2017. The Expert Tour Guide on Data Management is a free resource that aims to support research and acquaint researchers with the principles of data management.
The tour guide comprises six chapters that lead the reader through the life cycle of research data, from writing a data management plan to organising, documenting, processing, protecting, archiving and publishing the data. Examples and tips along the way help the researchers with their own data management projects.
FSD worked on the tour guide with ten other CESSDA archives. The contents aim to consider the differing national laws and data distribution practices as far as possible.
