FSD reduces its use of the former Twitter

The main focus of FSD's social media communication will shift to channels other than X (formerly Twitter). We will stay on X for now, but we will mainly use it to follow discussion relevant to FSD and to share news about our events or key services.

During the year, FSD's communications team has followed the development of X and sees that the channel no longer serves our needs as it did before. In particular, the reduction of features available to unregistered users, the polarisation of the conversation, the increase in fake news and the unpredictability of the service's development direction have influenced the decision. From the organisational communications point of view, the nature of the service is not ideal.

Tampere Universitiy also evaluates its presence in X, which supported our decision. In the future, FSD will focus more on other social media channels, especially LinkedIn and Facebook, where we already have an established following.

Our communication strategy is that our news releases and events are always published on our own website, from which we share them to social media. This ensures that all current information is available even to those who do not use social media.
